I graduated from Bach Khoa university honor program, majoring in Computer Science & Engineering, and have around ~6 years of experience in software development industry. I am a full-stack developer, knowledgeable at both frontend, backend development & infrastructure management.

I am proficient at designing user-centric software solutions, and I have a passion for building high-quality software products to help people solve their problems. I have experience working in diverse industries such as e-commerce, travel & real-estate.

I have led a team of up to 10 developers, and often appreciated as a good communicator who can work well with both tech & non-tech stakeholders. I have worked with colleges & clients from different countries such as the US, Japan, Thailand and Vietnam.

Professional Working Experience

Technical Lead at CO tam? and TripHunter, Dec 2023 - Present, Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam)

I lead the development and production use of CO tam? appointment management system. CO tam? is a well-known business offering psychology services in Poland.

On the side, I am also leading TripHunter new initiatives to explore the travel industry emerging needs for AI chatbot.

Software Engineer at Thoughtworks, Apr 2022 - Sep 2023 (1 year 6 months), Bangkok city (Thailand)

I worked with a diverse and cross-functional team as a consultant-developer for a leading e-commerce retail marketplace of Thailand which serves ~6000 online orders a day.

My work included but not limited to: maintaining & enhancing interface services to external systems such as payment gateways, promotion service & order fulfillment service, proof of concept work for IaC (Infrastructure as Code), CI/CD pipeline setup, testing & application monitoring (logging, tracing & metrics).

Later on, my responsibility extended to analyzing & devising a detailed plan to migrate order fulfillment service off a problematic Rails app to a new set of smaller services. I left to go back to Vietnam after the plan was approved.

Technical Lead & Software Engineer at ZIGExN VeNtura, Apr 2020 - Sep 2021 (1 year 6 months), Ho Chi Minh city (Vietnam)

I led 2 projects at ZIGExN VeNtura - an offshore software development company with 100% invested by its Japanese parent company.

One of the projects involved developing & maintaining Japan based Kuruma-EX and its satellite websites. My major contribution mostly focused on: shortening the time for products to reach the end-users by parallelizing the data ingestion process, mitigating crawling bots, and improving caching to reduce website loading time.

The other project was releasing a reward application for African sale agents TCV Supporters a service of the largest Japanese used car marketplace in Africa TCV. The team was cross-functional with developers, testers, designers, business owners, and stakeholders from both Japan and Vietnam. The new application was containerized and running on GCP Cloud Run while ultilizing various GCP services such as: GCP Cloud Build for CI/CD, GCP Cloud Logging for monitoring, etc.

Software Engineer at TripHunter, Jul 2018 - Feb 2019 (1 year 8 months), Ho Chi Minh city (Vietnam)

I was responsible for 2 key features of TripHunter.vn: the flight booking service & the trip planning tool.

Together with the hotel booking service & tour booking service, these 4 features helped TripHunter.vn to become one of the top award-winning travel startups at the time.

Teaching Assistant at Bach Khoa University, Jan 2018 - Jun 2018, 1 semester ~ 6 months, Ho Chi Minh city (Vietnam)

I taught 2 classes of ~30 students each, the course was about the basics of programming with C/C++. One is for 1st year Computer Science & Engineering students, and the other is for 1st year non-Computer Science & Engineering students.

Software Engineer at Dynaminds, 2017 - Present, Ho Chi Minh city (Vietnam)

I worked with Dynaminds - a real-estate company which built the well-known ~40k members Housing/Apartment Solutions in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) community. The whole system includes: Dynaminds.vn - the listing of accomodations under direct management of Dynaminds, Agent.Dynaminds.vn - the listing of accomodations under Dynaminds partners management.
